In honor of Earth Day yesterday, I thought this post would tie in perfect with my Instagram Reels that I just posted! I’ve been really trying to put more effort into sustainability and I think it’s really important for beauty brands to be able to create recycle programs for their consumers empty products. I also think it’s important for beauty brands to work on recycled packaging or a more sustainable way to ship orders. If you haven’t seen those Boox reusable shipment boxes, they’re amazing!
Here are some options that I wanted to share of beauty brands with recycling programs that you can send back your empties to recycle! Feel free to share with me some other brands that might have recycling programs too.
Ren Skincare is pledging to become Zero Waste by the end of this year! How amazing is that?! The current packaging of their products are made with recycled packaging and can go straight to your recycle! Glass containers can also be upcycled! You can read more information about it in their blog post here.
For Summer Fridays Recycling Program, once you’ve collected 5 or more empties simply email help@summerfridays.com to get a free shipping label and you even receive a free gift in return!
ILIA is actually offering that you can send up to 5 empties from ANY brand, not just their own. Simple go to this link here to fill out the form!
Josie Maran’s recycling program is through Terracycle. One of my favorite places to recycle empties! Simply create an account and start with the link here.
Yes they have a recycling program! Nordstrom BEAUTYCYCLE is currently available at Nordstrom stores in the US and Canada. For more information on what you can empties you can drop off, click this link here.
I hope this was helpful and that if you haven’t already, to start keeping all your beauty product empties to recycle. Don’t forget you can always upcycle glass containers to use for your cotton pads, plant your succulents, or use as containers for brushes, qtips, etc. You can check to see more beauty brands and other household brands that have recycling programs at Terracycle.
